About

Renault Aftersales Racing was formed in 2005 and, together with the preparation expertise of Mardi Gras Motorsport, has evolved in to one of the Elf Renault Clio Cup’s leading contenders.

The team has previously finished fifth and third overall in the competitive one-make championship, but everyone in the Renault Aftersales Racing camp is confident that one of its cars will be near the top of the points standings at the end of the current 2008 season.

Having a presence in a motor racing championship that regularly commands a live audience of more than 30,000 people, gives Renault Aftersales a perfect platform on which to promote the numerous brands that serve Renault customers once they have purchased their new vehicle from a dealership.

Renault has an aftersales product portfolio that includes everything from car valeting equipment to genuine quality parts and the Clio of lead driver Gavin Pyper is being used as a high-speed marketing tool for the Ixell, Ixtar, Rapide Bodycare, RAMB, Renaultp@rts, Motrio and RRenault Trade Partner brands this season.

Meanwhile, the second Elf Renault Clio Cup car of young rookie, Árón Smith, is prominently displaying Renault Insurance branding during each of the ten meetings that make up the 2008 racing calendar.

Renault Aftersales heavily promotes its involvement in the Elf Renault Clio Cup to the General Public, trade and motorsport press, as well as using race meetings for entertaining key customers and running incentive schemes and competitions.

Renault Aftersales is already a big success in the automotive aftermarket. This season will hopefully mark its rise to a similar position of authority in Britain’s most popular one-make motor racing series.
